Vivid Sydney is a highlight of the autumn calendar. People travel from across Australia and the world especially to see the light installations, celebrity guests, live music and other creative and culinary pop-ups that the festival brings to the city. For the first time in its 15-year history, Vivid will lean on the city’s new Metro system to connect five zones, each with events from all four of the festival’s pillars: Light, Music, Ideas and Food.

British chef Nigella Lawson is set to host three special and exclusive dining experiences at this year’s Vivid. They have all now sold-out but you and a guest could win a seat at the table—which will be set in the stunning Muru Giligu Tunnel at the new Martin Place Metro station. Canapé and premium wines will flow, and a three-course feast will be curated by Lawson. It’s one of the festival’s biggest announcements so far.

The winning pair will also get access to the late-night speakeasy lounge, Supper Club, open Thursdays and Fridays. A condition of the prize is that it must be redeemed between June 6-10, meaning the show the winners will have access to is A Night at the Oscars. Legendary TV presenter Angela Bishop will present a lineup of incredible performers singing Hollywood’s greatest hits, and she’ll also spill behind-the-scenes stories from her years spent on the red carpets.

A visit to Vivid just wouldn’t be complete without a look at the incredible installations on the Light Walk. This year, the trail is free to enjoy, but you could be guided along the trail by none other than Gill Minervini, the Vivid Sydney Festival Director. An expert, to say the least!

Accommodation can be tricky to find at the best of times, but especially when the internationally-renowned festival is in town. Luckily, you don’t need to stress about that. Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour is right in the heart of the action. It’s restaurant, Atelier, delivers panoramic views of the Light Walk. This hotel is where the winners will spend four nights—in a Luxury Room with Club Access, nonetheless—and breakfast is included too. As if that wasn’t enough already, return economy flights to Sydney from a domestic airport are also included for the lucky pair.

How to enter

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning this incredible prize is answer the question ‘what is your Vivid Sydney Dream?’ in 25 words or less. Sounds simple enough, right? Each entry will be individually judged for originality, creative merit and the relevance of the answer to the question.

The theme of Vivid Sydney 2025 is ‘Dream’, hence the competition question, inviting attendees to “dream big. To go to the outer reaches of your mind, to think differently, without boundaries or preconceptions and to immerse yourself in new experiences and ideas. We want you to dream with the lights on, to daydream, to dream without boundaries, to soar”.
