The Sydney Comedy show enters its second week, making audiences laugh all over the city. There are some exciting new restaurant openings, including CANESS in Paddington, which will be serving up Middle Eastern and Mediterranean tapas. A. P. Bakery is opening its Circular Quay bakery, A. P. Quay, offering fresh bread rolls and their famous buttermilk croissants.
All the regular weekend markets will be open for business, including Paddington, Kirribilli, Glebe and Carriageworks Farmers Market. Gracie Abrams will be breaking hearts over the weekend with her soulful tunes at Qudos Bank Arena, starting this Friday. Annie and MJ the Musical will continue to entertain crowds throughout the week, as well as Les Misรฉrables, the Arena Spectacular, which is beginning its five-week stint at the ICC Sydney Theatre.
Not into pop music or theatre? The Sydney Swans will be up against the GWS Giants at the SCG on Sunday, with tickets still available to purchase. The Sydney derby is sure to be a thrilling game, as the two Sydney-based clubs battle it out for the win.

2. Jazz Sessions in the Rocks
Jazz Sessions in the Rocks is a free night of live music, celebrating Australian jazz with performances in Sydney’s favourite precinct. This week, Lauren Tsamouras and Tom Avgenicos will be performing a double set, featuring reimagined works of jazz legend Judy Bailey, followed by their original compositions. 3. The Big Bat Night at Centennial Parklands
This event is perfect for bat-crazy kids between the ages of 5- 12 years old. They’ll be able to hear from wildlife experts about rescuing injured bats, before witnessing the flyout of Sydney’s largest flying-fox colony at sunset.

4. Les Misรฉrables at the ICC Sydney Theatre
Les Misรฉrables begins its highly anticipated 5-week stint at the ICC Sydney Theatre this week. The arena production boasts a star-studded cast, including Tony Award winner Alfie Boe and top British musical theatre star Killian Donnelly sharing the leading role of Jean Valjean. The world-famous musical has been reimagined for larger venues so even more people can experience the excitement of this beloved production. 5. Annie
Annie is back in Sydney at the Capitol Theatre in Haymarket. Directed by Karen Johnson Mortimer, the story of the orphan and the billionaire features a talented cast, including Broadway star Anthony Warlow and original Wiggle Greg Page (who will be making his musical theatre debut). The crowd-pleasing musical also stars a real-life dog as Sandy and special digital projections to add some excitement to the show.

6. MJ the Musical
MJ The Musical continues its stint at the Sydney Lyric Theatre. Head to Pyrmont to see the King of Popโs famous choreography come to life in this thrilling musical biopic. Roman Banks has been highly acclaimed for his portrayal of MJ, as has Brisbane-based actor Liam Damons, who is making his professional theatre debut playing the star in his younger years.

7. Gracie Abrams at Qudos Bank Arena

9. Finders Keepers Sydney Design Market
The Finders Keepers Market brings an amazing group of Australian designers under one roof. This year, there will be a selection of over 180 stalls to choose from, all available to peruse at Carriageworks. It’s perfect timing, too, as there will be plenty of gift inspiration for Mother’s Day, which is next Sunday.

Bonjour! Le Marchรฉ French Markets will take over the Entertainment Quarter every first Sunday of the month. This week will feature over 45 stalls, selling all the best French goods and fashion, including cheeses, truffles, baguettes, berets and more. There will also be opportunities to try French wine and other delicious delicacies that will make you feel like you’re on the streets of Paris.

11. The Rocks Market
The Rocks Market is on every Saturday and Sunday, offering a vibrant mix of stalls, including art, food, drinks, antiques, clothing and more. The Bondi Markets take place right opposite Sydney’s most famous beach at Bondi Beach Public School. On Saturday, the Bondi Farmers Market takes place, where stalls sell fresh produce, including groceries, freshly-baked goods, flowers and more. On Sunday, the Bondi Markets take place, and stalls sell more general goods, such as jewellery, vintage clothing and homeware.

13. Kirribilli Markets
The Kirribilli Markets are some of the oldest markets in Sydney, with the first one taking place in 1976 in the backyard of the then newly opened Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre. Now, the markets feature over 220 stalls, selling things from gourmet food to handmade jewellery. The markets normally have a theme to describe which stalls will be present, for example, this week’s is “Art, Design & Fashion”.

14. Glebe Markets

16. Paddington Markets
Paddington markets have been open since 1973 and are the birthplace of many popular Australian brands. Dinosaur Designs, Zimmerman, Sass and Bide all began selling their designs at the Paddo markets. There are over 150 stalls at these markets, selling jewellery, clothes, sunglasses, art and antiques. There are also plenty of delicious food options, including popular stall Bobo Bakery, who are known for their burnt caramel cookies and brownie boxes.
