Twilight at Taronga has dropped their line-up for this summer

Heavy on Aussie nostalgia with shows from Killing Heidi, Spiderbait, Peter Garrett and The Cruel Sea, the super popular series will also have DMA’s, Boy & Bear and – possibly most excitingly – Emma Memma.

The magical Twilight at Taronga series is back in early 2025, with another line up of concerts under the stars. Back up for each show is the 180 degree uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour and the sound of lions, monkeys and elephants settling in for the night.

Once the golden light gives way to dusk, ticket holders shake out picnics in the natural amphitheatre. The series is notorious for selling out quickly, so stake your claim quickly. (The same goes for blanket space at the shows, people get there early and spread out. )

Feb 7: DMA’S
Renowned for their electrifying live shows, the DMA’S are no strangers to the festival circuit, having played to the massive crowds at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and more. Their stellar 2019 saw sold-out shows across Australia and the UK. They’ll be supported by Finnoguns Wake.

Feb 8: The Cruel Sea
Since the late ’80s, The Cruel Sea has been a cornerstone of the Aussie music scene. With their unique blend of swampy blues and rock, they’ve produced hits like “Better Get a Lawyer” and “The Honeymoon Is Over.” Their recent 30th-anniversary tour proves they still have that kick. Supported by Loose Content.

Feb 14: Boy & Bear
This beloved indie-folk band from Sydney will charm you with their lush harmonies and soulful lyrics. Since their ARIA Award-winning debut, Boy & Bear has captivated audiences with hits like “Feeding Line.” Join them for a magical evening, supported by Haley Holgate.

Feb 15: Comedy Gala
The Comedy Gala is a blockbuster two-hour comedy extravaganza. This year’s line up will feature Joel Creasey, Georgie Carroll (UK), Dave Thornton, Bron Lewis, and more to be announced. While everyone is welcome, this one is best for the over 15s.

Feb 21: Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos
The iconic frontman of Midnight Oil, Peter Garrett, takes the stage as a solo artist. Known for his passionate performances and commitment to social causes, expect a night of personal storytelling mixed with that electric energy Garrett is famous for. Supported by Jem Cassar-Daley.

Feb 22: Emma Memma
Bring the kids along for a morning of fun! Emma Memma is back with a performance designed for the little ones. The show also includes a day pass to the Zoo, making it a delightful family outing.

Feb 26: SPIDERBAIT
Aussie rock legends Spiderbait are bringing their awesome energy to Twilight at Taronga for your rock’n’roll pleasure-with-a-picnic blanket. The band have been a huge presence in the Australian rock scene for over three decades, churning out hit after classic hit like “Calypso,” “Buy Me a Pony” and the band’s most popular song to date “Black Betty”. Supported by DOWNGIRL, this night will be a celebration of rock at its finest.

Mar 1: Middle Kids
With a sound that fuses indie rock and alt-pop, Middle Kids have gained a loyal following both locally and internationally. They’ve toured with major acts, the likes of Bloc Party, Kings of Leon and War on Drugs. Supported by EGOISM.

Mar 7: Baby Animals
The Baby Animals absolutely dominated the Australian music scene in the early ‘90s a mix of hard-rock swagger, wholehearted lyrics, and the glam vocalist and guitarist Suzie DeMarchi. Don’t miss their high-energy performance supported by Joan & the Giants.

Mar 8: Bjorn Again
Finish off with a spectacular show that pays tribute to ABBA. With dazzling costumes and infectious energy, Bjorn Again will have everyone dancing and singing along to timeless classics. This show is pure, joyful nostalgia and has been a favourite at the Twilight series over the years. One long 70s singalong.
