Spotted any stars of The White Lotus in Sydney? Well there’s a high chance you could, as many of them have jetted in to the Harbour City ahead of the launch of streaming service Max.

If you’ve been watching the latest season of The White Lotus, you’ll probably know about all the controversy currently flying around the series. After Patrick Schwarzeneggerโ€™s character shared a kiss with his on-screen brother, fans of the show seem surprisingly, well, surprised. Now in its third series, you’d think that viewers would have grown accustomed to its shocking scenes which have captured the world’s attention and kickstarted global conversations. But the creators might have pushed viewers a step too far with their latest incestuous storyline…

In the midst of this controversy, Schwarzenegger and his co-stars Leslie Bibb and Natasha Rothwell have arrived in Sydney. They were spotted hanging out at the Hyatt Regency with The Last of Us stars, promoting Max Australia.

Whether they’re staying at the hotel, we’re not too sure, but we’ve used our greatest sleuthing skills to find the stars’ favourite Sydney spots which they may just check out while here this week.

Patrick Schwarzenegger

“I’ll be back…” and here Schwarzenegger is! Son of the iconic Terminator actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Patrick visited Sydney in 2017, posting a pic with his famous father on Facebook.

The picture-perfect moment features the backdrop of Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge; a cruise around the harbour should be on anyone’s list when visiting the city. It looks as though the Schwarzeneggers enjoyed a trip on a private yacht, of course, but there are plenty of options for the likes of you and I. Choose from Captain Cook’s infinite options or just hop on one of the public ferries at Circular Quay.

Patrick shared an Instagram story meeting kangaroos with his co-star Leslie Bibb. Speaking on the Jase & Lauren Show, Schwarzenegger revealed that it was one of the top things he wanted to do while in Australiaโ€”so job done! We think the celebs likely headed over to Taronga Zoo, like pop sensation Dua Lipa did last week.

His Instagram story was followed by a series of ads for Brooks running shoes. Maybe Schwarzenegger will lace up his trusty trainers and get out for a run while in Sydney. Some of the city’s best running routes include the paths from Barangaroo to Sydney Opera House or Sydney Opera House to Mrs Macquaries Chair, or Centennial Park is a beautiful running spot.

Leslie Bibb

Leslie has spent a lot of time in Australia over the years, staying for several weeks in 2021 while filming the TV series God’s Favourite Idiot. Back then, she stayed in South Australia around Adelaide. Making the most of some of South Australia’s best diving spots, perhaps while she’s in Sydney, Leslie will head out to do some snorkellingโ€”Shelly Beach is home to wobbegongs and giant cuttlefish, while Palm Beach and Chowder Bay are good places to spot seahorses.

The Confessions of a Shopaholic actor may also hit Sydney’s top retail spots while she’s here. Westfield in Sydney CBD and Bondi Junction both offer a selection of high-end designers, including Chanel, Gucci and Prada, alongside high street favourites such as Uniqlo and Aussie fave Cotton On. Luxury stores and international labels line Castlereagh Street and Martin Place, close to Hyde Park, or she could visit the narrow alleyways of The Rocks to find tiny independent boutiques.

Natasha Rothwell

Speaking on The Morning Show, Rothwell revealed one of her must-see locations while in Sydney.

I have the Opera House on my bucket list, so when we came in and I saw it I got a little misty, I was like ‘oh my god, I’m here!’

Kylie Gillies revealed that Rothwell is heading to the Opera House this evening to watch a play. There are three productions she could be going to see: Henry 5, Picnic at Hanging Rock or Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty-Sided Tavern. If we were to hedge our bets we’d say it’ll either be Bell Shakespeare’s take on William Shakespeare’s famous war play, or Tom Wright’s acclaimed adaptation of the gothic tale that changed Australian storytelling forever. Dungeons & Dragons just doesn’t seem like this thespian’s type of thing… but we could be wrong!

This is Rothwell’s second stint in The White Lotus cast, having played Belinda Lindsey in season one. In the first series, Belinda was the manager of the spa at the White Lotus Resort in Maui who was discussing a joint venture with the kooky guest played by Jennifer Coolidge. Belinda returns in the third series, staying in Thailand on a work exchange.

Staying on theme, maybe Natasha will visit one of Sydney’s many spas. From day spas and hotel spas to bathhouses, we’ve found the best wellness experiences and spas in Sydney so youโ€”and Natashaโ€”can easily pick the one that matches your vibe.

Morgana Oโ€™Reilly

New Zealand-born actor Morgana didn’t have to travel far for the event, as she’s currently based in Sydney, filming Playing Gracie Darling, an Australian supernatural-mystery mini series, in which she plays the lead role. While she’s busy filming, O’Reilly shared with Women’s Day that her husband and two daughters (they’ve moved to Sydney with her) will be exploring the city’s beaches. The best kid-friendly beaches in our eyes are: Balmoral, Camp Cove, Bronte and Parsley Bay.

The actor visited White Rabbit Gallery in January, so maybe it’s time for a return visit? XSWL (Chinese slang short for โ€œxiร o sว wว’leโ€ (็ฌ‘ๆญปๆˆ‘ไบ†), meaning โ€œlaughing to deathโ€) is open until May 18, and explores the societal pressures that are leading to many young adults abandoning their jobs to become full-time children. Wild colours, cartoon imagery and everyday playthings sit in sharp contrast to an underlying sense of violent humour, warning us that itโ€™s all fun and gamesโ€ฆ until someone loses an eye.
