The Weeknd announces two shows in Sydney

The Weeknd has announced two stadium shows in Sydney for this October, making good on the megastar’s promise to “return to Australia” after he was forced to reschedule the dates from last year.

“The Hills” singer is approaching the end of his blockbuster After Hours Til Dawn tour, which has seen him performing critically acclaimed shows in the world’s biggest cities.

It’s been a long wait for Australian fans, but now we’re only months away before Live Nation brings one of music’s most bankable stars down for a total of four shows.

He’ll be popping by Melbourne in early October, and then has slotted two Sydney shows towards the end of the month.

There’s a massive. gap between Melbourne and Sydney stops, so fans are already speculating that Live Nation may end up adding more dates.

Unsurprisingly, demand will be high for these shows, which will take place out in Sydney Olympic Park in Accor Stadium for October 22-23.

Prices for these tickets will be confirmed before they go on sale, but based on last year we’re looking at tickets from $102.87 with the most expensive seats going for $306.75.

Long-time Kanye West collaborator Mike Dean will be on support along with Chxrry22 and Sydney DJ Anna Lunoe.
