There might be rain forecast but that never dampens Sydney’s spirits, especially when there’s a Sydney Streets party to attend. Tomorrow it’s Redfern’s turn to up the ante as Redfern St is pedestrianised for the day. It’s an opportunity for local businesses to showcase their offerings with special offers and pop-ups, along with live music, entertainment, family activities and alfresco dining lining the street.
If you’re not sure what to do this weekend or find yourself at a loose end, this is the place to beโand you can take the whole family too.
Sydney Streets is back this weekend
City of Sydney’s street part series brings festival-style street parties to swathes of Sydney during six Saturdays in summer and autumn.
The parties start at 11am and run into the night, with streets pedestrianised to make way for outdoor dining, roving entertainment and live music. Each party begins with a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country to acknowledge, and facilitated by, the traditional custodians of the land. The the family-friendly fun begins.
What’s on at Redfern Street tomorrow?
