Pier One’s glorious pool and pontoon are open for another summer

Pier One’s free to the public, netted harbour pool, is back for from November 1st. Perched on the hotel’s private pontoon, guests can enjoy a dip while ordering drinks and snacks from the bar.

With a capacity for 25 lucky sun-seekers, the glittering Harbour beckons. There’s also a special summer menu of Pier Bar bites with things like freshly shucked oysters, hand-stuffed peppers, juicy watermelon slices and crispy chickpea fritters. Tuck into small plates like crumbed calamari or soft shell crab, or heartier options like burgers, fish and chips and cheese platters.

Set to launch just in time for the sun-soaked season, the Pool by Pier Bar opens daily from 11 AM to 6 PM. Grab a group because this spot is all about fun. The pool is decked out with a selection of pool toys to keep things lively, and when you need a breather, kick back with a cocktail.

Getting to the little Harbour haven is easy—arrive by boat, or take a scenic five-minute stroll from the hotel. Plus, if you’re in charge of planning a gathering, special packages for groups of twelve or more are available.

The chic hotel opened PIER dining in May this year. Replacing The Gantry and offering a seafood driven menu in a more relaxed setting, they’ve partnered with Sydney Rock Oyster experts East 33 to give the full Harbour experience.

  • Pool by Pier One is strictly 18+, so line up a babysitter and indulge in a grown-up day by the big blue.
