You’ve come to the right place if you’re wondering where to drink for International Margarita Day in Sydney.
Did you ever think the unfailingly simple build of Tequila, triple sec and lime juice would go on to become one of the most popular cocktails of all time? Us neither.
The humble margarita has been a go-to for decades, not only reliably delicious and refreshing but also deceptively strong and (relatively) healthy. Many different versions of the adaptable drink have popped up over the years from various fruit margaritas to the nectar-loving Tommy’s Margarita.
Best bars to celebrate Margarita Week in Sydney

1. Felons Manly, Manly
Waterside gem Felons Manly is the place to be if you want a breezy margarita session while cosying up to one of the best views in Sydney. The brewpub is going all out for its multi-day margfest, kicking off on Thursday, February 20 and running up until Sunday, March 2.
The extended celebration means you’ll have more chances to see Felons Manly in full festive mode with dishes inspired by Mexico City, a menu of classic and experimental margaritas, and DJ sets at the official Patron Silver pop-up. The occasion also brings back Felons’ popular Paloma Sour Ale infused with fresh grapefruit, which would pair beautifully with some grilled tiger prawn tacos.
Not that you’ll need another reason to get involved, but you’ll also get a good chance to win a few prizes over the next few days, including a three-night stay at the lavish Manly Pacific Hotel, a $500 Felons Manly gift voucher, and a $500 Hugo’s gift voucher.
