All inner west breweries are now doing 2-for-1 beers

Is the inner west of Sydney the new craft beer capital of Australia? Sydneysiders certainly think so, with beer lovers raising a schooner to the Inner West Ale Trail: a collective of 18 local breweries threading together six of Sydney’s coolest suburbs.

The initiative was launched recently with the help of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who joined beer brewers and drinkers alike in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Mixtape Brewing & Bar.

Not only does having a dedicated “ale trail” foster closer collaboration and community amongst some of Sydney’s best breweries, but it also leads to a neat little offering that’ll encourage locals and visitors to embark on the beer-fuelled journey over the coming weeks. That is two-for-one beers.

Yep, two-for-one beers are now offered at all Inner West breweries to celebrate the launch of the trail. You’ll first need to register online, where you’ll find digital 2-for-1 coupons you can use at 18 different breweries including Willie the Boatman and Wildflower.

“The Inner West is to brewing and distilling what the Hunter Valley and the Barossa are two Australian wine,” said a confident Darcy Byrne, the mayor of Inner West Council.

“The initiatives we’re undertaking on behalf of these local businesses will only strengthen the growing part of our local economy and attract visitors to experience the unique vitality of the Inner West.”

The new Inner West Ale Trail website includes a map so anyone can plan the best route to take when crawling between participating breweries. These are:
