$8 movie tickets at Hoyts this weekend, with fancy seats for $25

On Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, Hoyts is selling $8 movie tickets to celebrate their 115th birthday. Just like the olden days!

Turning a sprightly 115, Hoyts’ will be selling general admission tickets for just $8 this weekend which may see more than four people turn up to the cavernous, airplane-hanger sized cinemas for a few sessions.

Take your pick of Hoyts locations, from Bankstown to Chatswood, Broadway to Penrith, with the discount available on all general admission tickets. Fancy a bit of luxury? Hoyts Lux is also playing nice, with tickets for $25, which is only 50 cents more that regular tickets outside this weekend of celebrations. Which is insane, but here we are.

October is all about suspense, scares, and family-friendly fun. If horror is your thing, dive into Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga’s Joker: Folie à Deux, or Terrifier 3 with Art the Clown. Prefer something with a supernatural twist? Check out Hellboy: The Crooked Man. Families have options too—Transformers One, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and The Wild Robot are all set to keep the kids entertained.
