Free piña coladas and $5 at The Happy Mexican

According to rum-cocktail fanciers, international Piña Colada Day falls on Wednesday 10 July. It’s also Independence Day in the Bahamas. Coincidence? We think not. To mark this momentous occasion, there are 10,000 free piña coladas waiting to be poured behind the bar at The Happy Mexican at the Landsdowne Hotel.

Here’s how to get your mitts on one: between July 10 and 12, pick up a piña colada voucher and a free Master of Mixes Piña Colada mixer from Broadway Shopping Centre (opposite The Landsdowne). Then head to The Happy Mexican to claim your tropical cocktail and pretend you’re in the sunny Bahamas instead of mid-winter Sydney.

Throughout the entire month of July, The Happy Mexican is also slinging $10 piña coladas and $5 pastor tacos. Salud!

Where: Broadway Shopping Centre, Glebe; and The Happy Mexican at The Landsdowne Hotel, 2-6 City Road, Chippendale
When: July 10-July 12 or until stocks last
