The Star Sydney in Pyrmont is home to a luxury suite hotel, The Darling, as well as more than 30 restaurants and bars, including Japanese-inspired Sokyo and famed steakhouse BLACK Bar & Grill. Sydney Lyric Theatre is also here, so you can pair your visit with a trip to see MJ the Musical.
There’s one more reason to visit The Star in the next few weeks too, as the complex has been taken over by an enchanted garden. Read on to find out all about the magical setting.
What is The Star Sydney’s Enchanted Garden?
Especially for Easter (and an early Mothers Day visit) the shopping and dining complex has been transformedโand it extends out to the harbourside too.
Starting at the harbourside entrance, snap the perfect pic at a whimsical garden filled with flowers, or play with your reflections in the funny mirrors thanks to a range of immersive photo opportunities. Photoboxes line the corridor all the way to G&Tea.
Continuing to the Grand Foyer, guests will find Aqualume and aerialists. This breathtaking performance combines water, dance and aerial acrobatics, with shows taking place on select dates through April (19, 20, 25 and 26). Set within the enchanted garden, performers seem to defy gravity as they balance, tumble and soar through the air. That’s not all either, as roving entertainers bring excitement to every corner of the space.
At Harvest Buffet, the menu has been given an Easter treatment (pictured above). After filling up at the buffet of seafood, carvery roasts, pizza, pasta, curries, soups and salads, head to the decadent dessert bar. It usually includes three chocolate fountains, but things have been dialled up. Chocolatey Easter treats sweeten the deal even more than usual.
At Sokyo and BLACK Bar & Grill, Hendricks is hosting a whimsical gin tea party. Sip signature Hendrick’s cocktails and savour gourmet treats. Designed for couples and groups of friends, it’s a perfect for Easter or a special early Mother’s Day treat.
