Supporting Dua throughout her Australian and New Zealand dates is Australian pop girlie Kita Alexander. The pairing makes complete senseโlisten to Atmosphere, Alexander’s catchy collab with EDM icon Fisher, if you haven’t already and you’ll get it. And the likes of Between You & I and Press Pause, the eponymous from her latest album, will get concertgoers dancing and warmed up for Dua Lipa’s entrance. It’s absolutely worth getting to the gig early to catch her set.

What is the setlist for the Dua Lipa shows in Sydney?
She faced criticism for the setlist on the Asian tour dates, with TikTokkers going as far to say “so the asia tour [was] just rehearsal“. Dua clearly heard and has made a lot of changes to the setlist which those online criticsโsorry, fansโhave been quick to pick up on. It’s now an epic five-act extravaganza.
Looking at the alleged setlists from her recent Melbourne shows, concertgoers can expect to hear most of Radical Optimism, with only ‘French Exit’ appearing to be ironically missing from shows so far. ‘Training Season’, with its catchy beat, seems to be Dua’s choice for the opening number, offering her plenty of opportunity to make a dramatic and scream-inducing entrance before launching into the album’s first track, ‘End of an Era’.
Measuring up to just 36 minutes, Radical Optimism doesn’t quite provide a full show’s-worth of songs and ticket-holders will be pleased to hear that Dua digs into the archives, performing older fan-favourites including ‘One Kiss’, ‘Physical’, ‘Electricity’, and the her first major hit, ‘New Rules’.
The full setlist looks something like this:
Act I
- Training Season
- End of an Era
- Break My Heart
- One Kiss
Act II - Whatcha Doing
- Levitating
- These Walls
- Cover or surprise guest
- Maria
Act III - Physical
- Electricity
- Hallucinate
- Illusion
Act IV - Falling Forever
- Happy for You
- Love Again
- Anything for Love
- Be the One
Encore - New Rules
- Dance the Night(Shortened)
- Don’t Start Now
- Houdini
Of course, setlists vary and could change between shows but we’d say that’s a pretty good selection.
The eagle-eyed amongst us will have noticed that sneaky part of Act II. In Melbourne, Dua Lipa covered AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Heaven’, Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Torn’ and Kylie’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’โshe’s got rangeโand also welcomed Aussie artists Troye Sivan and Vance Joy on-stage for a surprise performance. Who knows what surprises she has in store for Sydney. Could her previous cover be a hint at a Kylie appearance? We’ll soon find out.
